Finding Balance

With a new business and a busy schedule, Ami decides to get back in shape to help keep him focused and energetic. Unfortunately, he exacerbates an old back injury and spends the next couple of days trying to recover. When he finally sees a chiropractor, he gets some much need advice: in order to live his life to the fullest, he must find balance. Ami's trainer, Rafael, comes in to get a medallion tattoo as a symbol of his dedication to a new project. The design is the insignia of Rafael's new martial arts school he plans to open. Victor comes in with a big challenge for Garver- he has a tribal tattoo that he wants to cover with a pin-up girl. The size, shape, and color of the original tattoo limit Garver's design, but the client and artist work together and are both excited about the end result. Kat gets a visit from her friend Robert, a tattoo artist from Arkansas. Kat is one of the best portrait artists around and Robert wants to have her tattoo him. He gets a black and white portrait of his son who passed away in a car accident. Jessica and Ilana suffer an unexpected loss when their best friend passes away. Kat gives them both tattoos that represent their love for their friend. Garcia is a rapper who comes in to get a tattoo that represents the completion of a life long dream. Garcia recently released his first record and wants to get the album cover tattooed on his arm. Annette has been searching for her birth parents and recently discovered that her birth mother was Japanese. She comes into the shop to get a tattoo of the Japanese symbol for "human being." Because of their shared heritage, she wants Yoji to tattoo her. The guys in the shop are hesitant, but Ami decides to do the outline and allows Yoji to fill it in. With the shop doing so well and all the artists pulling together- it seems that Ami has found his balance. Miami Ink is his priority and he is committed to making it the best shop on South Beach.
